Darren had a business trip Tuesday through Thursday so my parents came in town to keep me company. The thought of being in my house for 3 days and 2 nights without any other adult interaction was quite scary to me. I was thinking a cross between "I am Legend" and "Cast Away".
My parents got here on Tuesday evening bringing dinner of course. They loved seeing how much Stella had changed. My Dad loves this little girl. He's amazing with her. I kind of think Stella looks like a monkey in this picture. Sorry Stella, it's true.
This is one of my favorite shots, a little blurry but so cute. You can also see Stella's amazing old man comb over look she's currently kickin'.
My parents also made me leave the house on Wednesday for a couple of hours to do whatever I wanted to. I ended up at BabiesRUS...shocker. It was kind of fun being out but it felt weird too. While I was out painting the town red my parents went out on the deck and sat in the shade with bug.
I am so fortunate to have these two girls in my life. My mom is amazing and Stella is pretty cool too. I am learning so much from them both.
My Dad even got a picture of Stella and I together.
In other news, Stella discovered another baby in our house. She is completely in love with her. Actually it's just Stella in a mirror but she doesn't know that.
Also, I am a horrible person and didn't mention where my header picture came from. Jennifer LeMay took this stunning picture when she came to visit Stella a few weeks ago. That's right, she just snapped it! Jennifer is an amazing photographer and baker (her cupcakes are amazing). Jennifer please come take more pictures! As you can see I have no eye for this!
And now I leave you with a video. Stella watching the ceiling fan. Yep, this is the video of the next president of the United States.

Your parents make me happy.
ReplyDeleteLove that you ended up at babies r us during your free time. You ARE a mom!
Too much. Love your parent loving her, love the bug, love her comb over, love her smuggling on you and her bff, fan.
ReplyDeleteAdorable. I was wondering about your header photo - it is really gorgeous. I love reading your blog and remembering those times - the first time you leave the house without the baby seems so foreign, doesn't it? And inevitably, you end up doing baby things! Love you!
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet. Time is going too fast. SLOW DOWN STELLA. She is so beautiful Emily! And yay for your parents. Being by yourself can feel really lonely sometimes.
